Well, here it is. The damage is what we expected, thankfully. (We had hoped there wouldn't be more.) The pipe above shows the tree roots that grew into it. There is also a crack at the top. The sewer line did not go under the road. That is because the whole thing is in our yard! That is not very common. In fact, the city sewer line usually runs under the road. The man had to use the machine above to dig 10 feet down into our yard. There is now a pipe at the end of the yard, next to the road. We fared really well on the bill. We only had to pay $3000.00. So that was a big relief. (Provided that this was the only problem, and it is now fixed.)
One more problem down. Hopefully no more to come.
