Graduation Class of 2007
Yesterday, June 6, 2007, the children of the Meyer Center for Special Children began a new journey in their road of life. Our center provides special education and therapy services for children with special needs. I have had the priviledge of working with ten out of the fourteen graduates for the past several years. I have seen these children reach MANY milestones in their lives. It is humbling to be a part of the experiences that change so many lives. These children have reached goals that were, at times, thought of as almost unatainable. Several of these children took their first steps at our school. Some said their first words, or learned to eat food. Many of these tasks are things we all take for granted. But in the life of person who does it for the first time, it is amazing. It really becomes a spiritual experience. It's hard to work at The Meyer Center and not see God's miracles everyday.
