Total Loss

Dave had a wreck turning into the entrance of our neighborhood. Traffic was at a stop. Dave began his left turn, when a truck hauling a** down the road (on the right side of the opposite lane) hit him on the right front. The truck was either going to hit Dave or slam really hard into the rear end of a car stopped on the other side. Dave was more than half way into his turn when the truck came barreling down the road. No one stayed at the scene, so there were no witnesses. Without witnesses, Dave was charged with failure to yield the right of way. It would have been one word against the other that traffic was at a stop. If Dave had been half a second sooner or faster he would have cleared the road and someone would be at the hospital right now from a rear end collision. This is where I think that God steps in and intervenes on people's behalf. NO, he didn't cause the wreck. He DID allow someone to be saved from greater harm. Both parties walked away. The other man (who was alone) has reported not being hurt. It's hard to believe the damage to Dave's car versus the damage to the truck. It is obvious that the truck was going at a very high rate of speed. Again, it makes us realize how fast things can happen. Dave is limping a bit. He hit the brake and clutch at the same time. But, he is doing really well.

Oh Kathi, I am so sorry. I can't believe that no one stayed as a witness, that is crazy! You guys are in my prayers.
